Fentimans Ginger Ale

Fentimans Ginger Ale is a ginger soft drink from the English maker Fentimans, a brand that traces back to 1905 and a botanical brewing recipe. The original recipe was brewed by Thomas Fentiman, who crushed ginger roots and boiled them in copper kettles to bring out their flavour. The syrup was then fermented in wooden barrels with brewer's yeast, sugar and botanicals including ginger, juniper berries, speedwell and yarrow extract. Thomas sold the drink from a horse-drawn cart in stone jars bearing a drawing of his dog, Fearless. The dog still appears on the Fentimans logo.
