Fercullen Falls Small Batch is an Irish whiskey from Powerscourt Distillery in Wicklow, and the first release to include the distillery's own distillate. It is a blend of Irish malt and grain whiskies with a high proportion of malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The whiskey was matured in a combination of first-fill, ex-bourbon and heavy toast casks.
The nose offers cinnamon and orchard fruit with herbal touches, brown sugar, caramel and a firm malt character. On the palate it is smooth and sweet, with vanilla icing, malt and gentle spice. The finish is long and malty, with slightly drying tannins set against the sweetness.
