Fettercairn – 10 Year Old 2009 Clan Denny (48%)

This Fettercairn is a single cask 10 year old single malt from the Clan Denny range of Douglas McGibbon & Company. It was distilled in January 2009 and bottled in August 2019 at 48%, yielding 370 bottles. The nose offers marzipan, nougat and citrus, finishing on lavender. On the palate there is a crisp, french toast character and a spicy edge of malt, apricot and hints of vanilla. The finish is lightly dry, with a spicy character. A few drops of water are said to open it up towards flowers and green apples.
