Fettercairn 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured for 12 years in ex-bourbon casks. It comes from a revitalised range that puts the distillery's fruity character to the fore, with a tropical note alongside the weight and gentle ginger spice of Fettercairn. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings candied lemon, pineapple and butter icing with a hint of mint, then orchard fruit, vanilla and milk chocolate. On the palate it is soft and rounded, with sweet cream, cinnamon, candied ginger and nutmeg. The finish leaves vanilla cream, chocolate and coffee, then menthol and crunchy apples.
