An 18-year-old Fettercairn from the Highlands, matured first in first-fill and refill ex-bourbon casks of American white oak, then finished in casks made entirely of Scottish oak sourced from three Scottish forests. It is a limited release from the Scottish Oak Project, bottled at 46.8% without chill-filtration or added colour.
Tasting notes describe a nose of sugared almonds and baking spices with passion fruit and guava. The palate brings exotic fruit in syrup, brioche and fine pastry sweetness, with spice and a touch of berries. Cocoa and vanilla linger in the finish, with gentle spice.
