Fettercairn – 18 Years (70cl, 46.8%)

Fettercairn 18 Years is a Highland single malt first released in 2022. It matured in American first-fill and refill ex-bourbon casks, then was finished in Scottish oak casks, and it is bottled at 46.8%. The distillery was founded in 1824 and belongs to the Whyte & Mackay group. This expression is described as showing the house style of sweet, fruity, lightly spicy and woody aromas. On the nose there are roasted almonds, baking spices, passion fruit and tropical fruit such as guava. The palate brings exotic fruit syrup, confectioner's sugar, brioche and spice with soft traces of berries. The finish is soft and spicy, with cocoa and natural vanilla.
