This is a 7 year old single malt from Fettercairn, part of the Claxton's Warehouse No. 8 series. It was distilled on 15 June 2015 and bottled in autumn 2023, after maturing in a first fill Oloroso sherry octave. Only 68 bottles were filled.
The nose brings figs and pears poached in syrup, followed by sponge cake and a touch of ginger brandy. The palate is sweet and malty together, with more sponge and sweet oak. The finish is full and long, leaving a taste of sweet bread.
