Fettercairn – 22 Year Old (70cl, 47%)

Fettercairn 22 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured for 22 years in American ex-bourbon casks. It is bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery's copper cooling ring is part of its distillation process and gives the spirit a tropical character, for which the bourbon casks are described as a fitting partner. The tasting notes begin with spiced pear, caramelised orange and coffee, tempered by liquorice. Morello cherry, plum and treacle follow.
