Fettercairn – Warehouse 2 Batch 003 (70cl, 50.6%)

Fettercairn Warehouse 2 Batch 003 is the third batch of the distillery's Warehouse 2 Collection, a series of small batch single malts. This Highland malt is bottled at 50.6% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration, and has a natural golden amber colour. All the casks were filled in 2015 and were selected by whiskymaker Gregg Glass. 57% of the assemblage finished its maturation in ex-bourbon wood, and the rest in Caribbean rum and Bordeaux red wine casks. The nose offers warm honey, Alphonso mango, brioche, cocoa, forest fruits and rose water. On the palate come passion fruit, papaya, red berries and grape must, with sugared almonds, patisserie spice and heather honey.
