Fettercairn – Warehouse 2 Batch 4 (70cl)

This is the fourth batch in the Fettercairn Warehouse 2 series, a Highland single malt matured for 8 years. Warehouse 2 is the distillery's warehouse with the best maturation conditions, and it remains in its original state. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and ex-wine casks from Hungary, possibly Pinot Noir. It is a limited release. The nose is rich, with vanilla, ripe fruit and spice. The palate opens soft and sweet with a good measure of fruit, then moves towards spice and wood. The finish is long with some bite.
