Fife Blend 15 Year Old Batch No 1 is a blended Scotch from James Eadie, bottled at 56.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first blended Scotch in almost 100 years that can trace every drop to Fife distilleries.
It brings together two casks: a 15 year old first fill bourbon cask from a farmhouse distillery, and Cameronbridge grain whisky finished in a marsala cask. The label pays tribute to Dunfermline Abbey and the Queensferry Crossing.
The nose is bananas caramelised in maple syrup, dried apricots, mango, strawberry laces and lemon sherbet. Poached nectarines with star anise and ginger lead the palate, alongside brambles, milk chocolate, sweet tobacco and a twist of black pepper.
