Finglassie 2017/2023 6 Year Old Small Batch #3 (Rest & Be Thankful) (70cl, 46%)

Finglassie 2017/2023 is a six-year-old Lowland single malt from the InchDairnie distillery, bottled by Rest & Be Thankful as Small Batch #3 at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour. The whisky was distilled in January 2017 and bottled in July 2023. It matured in ten ex-Islay bourbon casks before a finish in Jamaican rum barrels, and the barley was malted in Yorkshire. Peat, citrus and tropical fruit sit side by side. The release runs to 3,720 bottles. The nose is peaty with vegetal notes, a little pineapple and spice. On the palate, lemon and peat meet orange notes that recall sherry. The finish brings ripe banana and cereal.
