This is a peated Inchdairnie, known as Finglassie, distilled in 2020 and bottled at four years old at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle for Milroy's Soho Selection. It was matured in an ex-Islay barrel, which raises the phenol count further.
The nose is bold and powerful, with smoky vinyl, herbal peat, scorched rosemary, rhubarb, dusty liquorice and olive brine. On the palate, dense smoke brings barbecued meats and bacon, alongside citrus, boiled sweets, jammy berries, freshly laid tarmac and apple sauce. The finish is very long, with more of that roadwork smoke.
