Finlaggan Old Reserve is an Islay single malt bottled from an undisclosed Islay distillery. It takes its name from Finlaggan Castle, the ancient seat of the Lords of the Isles.
The nose is bold peat smoke with brine, damp earth, iodine, citrus peel and warm malt. The palate is smoky and slightly sweet, with ash, peat embers, malted barley, honey, lemon zest, coastal salinity and a touch of pepper. The finish is medium to long, with lingering smoke, sea spray, light oak and warming spice.
