A single malt from Eimverk Distillery in Iceland, distilled in 2020 and aged for seven years. It is a limited bottling in a 50cl bottle.
The whisky matured in virgin American oak and was then given a further maturation in casks that previously held malt stout. It is bottled at a cask strength of 60%, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour.
The nose is fresh malt and dried herbs with a subtle, sweet stout note. The palate is robust and spicy, with vanilla, dark chocolate and a touch of oak. The finish is long and slightly smoky, with a fine bitterness from the stout cask.
