Four Roses – Bourbon (70cl, 40%)

A Kentucky bourbon from Four Roses, bottled at 40% abv in a 70cl bottle. It is the blend known as Yellow, made from the distillery's ten bourbon recipes, which come from two mash bills and five yeast strains. All ten recipes are typically blended together, though not every batch uses all of them. The two recipes made with the Q yeast strain, which is associated with floral aromas, are flavouring recipes. They usually make up only 1.5 to 3.5% of the blend and may be left out, so a batch contains between eight and ten recipes.
