Four Roses – Small Batch Select Bourbon (70cl, 52%)

A Kentucky straight bourbon from the Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, and the first permanent addition to the range under master distiller Brent Elliott. It combines six of the distillery's ten house recipes, drawn from two mash bills and a mix of proprietary yeast strains. The barrels are aged for a minimum of six years, and the bourbon is bottled at 52% ABV without chill filtration, unlike the rest of the core range. The nose offers banana bread, redcurrant, raspberry and peppery oak. On the palate come more raspberry, apricot, orange, creamy vanilla and clove, and the finish turns to woody spice with toasted sugar.
