Frank August Single Barrel Bourbon (75cl)

A Kentucky straight bourbon from Frank August of Lexington, bottled from a single hand-selected barrel in a 750ml bottle. Each barrel in the programme is chosen by master distillers and master blenders, then bottled individually at its natural cask strength, without blending or dilution. The strength on the label is whatever that barrel produced. The colour is a deep mahogany. In the glass, baking spices and mild oak come first on the nose, followed by vanilla and caramel. Cinnamon and rye spice lead the palate, balanced by vanilla and caramel, and the finish is long, with baking spice, hints of black cherry, oak and vanilla.
