This is a 12 year old Tennessee whiskey from George Dickel, bottled in bond at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It comes from Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. in Tullahoma.
The mashbill is 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley.
The tasting notes describe pecan, maple syrup and dried apple. On the nose there is ripe melon, baking spice and mellow oak with a hint of cigar. The palate is viscous, with vanilla, melted caramel and root beer. The finish is long, with sweetness, pepper spice and a bite of aged oak.
