This is a 19-year-old single grain whisky from Girvan, distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2022 by Douglas Laing for their Old Particular range. It is bottled at 51.5% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single refill hogshead that yielded 230 bottles. Girvan is a Lowland grain distillery, and most of its output goes into the blends of its owner, William Grant. The nose is honeyed cereal, toasted nuts and buttery oak. On the palate come juicy apricot, plum, vanilla and sponge cake, with a little nutmeg. The finish brings cooked apple, ginger biscuits and orange butter.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
