Glasgow 1770 Bourbon Cask Matured is an 8 year old Lowland single malt from the Glasgow Distillery Company in Hillington, Glasgow. It was distilled in 2017 in copper pot stills from 100% unpeated malted barley.
The whisky spent all 8 years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and is bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.
The nose offers vanilla bean, green apple, lemon drizzle cake, honeyed malt and toasted coconut. The palate is smooth and creamy, with butterscotch, poached pear, lemon oil, vanilla custard and gentle baking spices. The finish is medium to long, with sweet malt, toasted oak and delicate citrus zest.
