This is a 15 year old Lowland single malt from Daftmill, distilled in 2009 and released in 2024 under the name Five Strength. It is bottled at 56.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle and was matured in first fill bourbon casks. Daftmill is a farm in Fife run by the Cuthbert family, who also grow barley, potatoes, carrots and broccoli and raise beef cattle. Their whisky comes only from their own barley, in small volumes that can amount to no more than 100 casks a year, distilled in June, July and the winter months. The first Daftmill single malt was released in 2018, after more than twelve years of waiting.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
