This is a single malt from Daftmill, the Cuthbert family's farm distillery in Fife, in the Lowlands. Distilled in 2012, it is the Summer Batch, released in 2025 at 46% ABV from first fill bourbon casks.
Daftmill makes its whisky in small quantities, in some years from no more than 100 casks, using only barley grown on the farm. Distilling takes place in the quieter months, in June and July and over the winter, when no potatoes need planting and no barley needs sowing.
