Daftmill – 2010 Winter Batch Release 2023 (70cl, 46%)

This Lowland single malt from Daftmill was distilled in 2010 and released in 2023 as the Winter Batch. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle and was matured in first fill bourbon casks. Daftmill is a family farm in Fife, run by the Cuthberts, with barley, beef cattle, potatoes, carrots and broccoli alongside the distillery. The whisky is made only from the farm's own barley, in small quantities that can come to no more than 100 casks a year. The stills run in June, July and through the winter, when no planting or sowing is needed. Daftmill released its first single malt in 2018, after more than twelve years of waiting.
