Daftmill – 2011 Summer Batch Release 2023 (70cl, 46%)

This is a Lowland single malt from Daftmill, distilled in 2011 and released in 2023 as the Summer Batch. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle and was matured in first fill bourbon casks. Daftmill is a working farm in Fife, run by the Cuthbert family, where barley, beef cattle, potatoes, carrots and broccoli are all part of the year. The whisky is made only from their own barley, in small quantities that can come to no more than 100 casks a year. Distilling takes place in the quieter months of June, July and winter. The first Daftmill single malt reached the market in 2018, after more than twelve years of waiting.
