Daftmill – 2007 Europe Release 2020 (70cl, 46%)

This Lowland single malt from Daftmill was distilled on 10 December 2007 and released in 2020 as the Europe Release. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle and was matured in first fill bourbon casks. Daftmill sits on a family farm in Fife, run by the Cuthberts, who also grow barley and potatoes, carrots and broccoli and raise beef cattle. The whisky is made solely from barley grown on the farm, in small runs that can amount to no more than 100 casks a year. The stills work in the quieter months of June, July and winter. Daftmill's first single malt was released in 2018, after more than twelve years of waiting.
