Glasgow 1770 Original Single Malt

Glasgow 1770 Original is a Lowland single malt from the Glasgow Distillery, which brought whisky production back to the city after more than a century. It is made by hand in copper stills named Tara and Mhairi, from Scottish barley and water from Loch Katrine. The whisky is matured in first-fill bourbon casks and finished in virgin oak. It is a limited edition, bottled at natural colour and without chill-filtration. The nose offers dried dark fruit with tropical hints, then sponge cake, oak and freshly cut grass. On the palate come caramel, burnt brown sugar, cardamom, dried fruit, marzipan, honey and buttery shortbread. The finish brings thick orange marmalade, nutmeg and a firm woody note.
