Glasgow 1770 Peated Cask Strength Batch 02 is a single malt from The Glasgow Distillery, released in November 2024 and limited to 1,000 bottles. It is bottled at 60.7% in a 70cl bottle.
The malted barley is peated to 50 ppm with mainland peat from Aberdeenshire. The spirit is double-distilled, matured in virgin American white oak and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
Tasting notes describe a smoky character with BBQ sauce, tobacco leaf and smoked Iberico ham, alongside sticky poached plums, dried apricots and flamed orange zest.
