Glasgow 1770 The Original Fresh & Fruity Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

The Original is the first expression from The Glasgow Distillery, a single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour. It is made with concerto malted barley and water from Loch Katrine. Fermentation runs for a minimum of 72 hours and distillation is extremely slow. The spirit matures in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, followed by a finishing period in virgin American oak. The tasting notes describe a fruity, smooth malt with red berries, vanilla, pear and honey, and a long, spicy finish.
