Glasgow 1770 Triple Distilled is a core single malt from The Glasgow Distillery Company, made at its Hillington site in Glasgow. It is produced from 100% unpeated malted barley, triple-distilled in copper pot stills, and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration or artificial colouring.
The whisky is matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and finished in virgin oak casks.
The nose shows green apple, poached pear, vanilla pod, lemon drizzle cake and a little coconut. The palate is light and silky, with stone fruits, honeyed malt, vanilla cream and gentle baking spices. The finish is medium-long, with sweet malted barley, soft citrus zest and delicate oak.
