Glasgow Distillery – 1770 Original Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Glasgow 1770 Original is the first single malt from Glasgow Distillery, marking the return of single malt production to the city after more than a century. It is made with Concerto malted barley and water from Loch Katrine, with a fermentation of at least 72 hours followed by slow distillation. It matures in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and is finished in virgin American oak. Bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, it is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The palate shows honey, vanilla and tropical fruits, then orchard apple, pear and creamy toffee, with toasted coconut and gentle spice from the virgin oak. The finish is long and silky, with sweet malt, oak and delicate citrus.
