This is a 20 year old Highland single malt from the Macduff distillery, bottled as Glen Deveron at 40% ABV in a one litre bottle. It was introduced in 2013 for the travel retail market as part of the Royal Burgh Collection, which commemorates the Royal Burgh of Banff, the ancient seaport beside the distillery.
The whisky matured for twenty years in bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose combines hazelnut, orange oils and mango. The palate is thick and oily, with orange oils, mango and coconut before turning aromatic and slightly dry with subtle spice. The finish is long, with orange oils, banana and vanilla.
