Glen Elgin 14 Year Old is a Speyside single malt distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2009 by Gordon & MacPhail for its Urquhart Exclusive range. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky comes from a single sherry butt, number 1016, which gave 232 bottles. The cask performed so well that it was chosen for the Exclusive range from the Urquhart family. The nose has honey and wild flowers, including honeysuckle, with bracken and leafy notes. The palate is sweet and sherried, with bruised apples and pears, aniseed, liquorice and subtle smoke. A mellow smokiness lingers through the medium finish.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
