This Glen Elgin is a single cask Speyside single malt, distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2026 by Scotch Universe after 15 years of maturation. It comes at a cask strength of 52.7%, in a 70cl bottle.
The virgin oak hogshead shapes an unpeated malt of fruit, sweetness and pronounced woody spice. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose combines ripe apples and pears with vanilla and a light malt note. On the palate, creamy sweetness and caramel meet spicy oak and a hint of pepper. The long finish turns drier, with oak spice and a subtle touch of citrus.
