A twelve-year-old single malt from Glen Garioch, which stands at Oldmeldrum in Aberdeenshire. It is matured in bourbon and sherry casks and bottled at 48% without chill-filtration.
The character joins sweet fruit, clear barley notes and floral heather, with oak playing a restrained part and a creamy texture running through it.
On the nose, floral heather meets poached pear and sweet barley malt. The palate begins with crème brûlée and ripe banana, then light oak and fruity pear follow. The finish is long and soft, with fruit and spicy wood.
