Glen Garioch – 12 Years (70cl, 48%)

Glen Garioch 12 Years is a single malt from Aberdeenshire, bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks. The distillery's character is put down to mineral-rich water from the surrounding hills and copper stills with a specially extended neck. The whisky is filled into the rounded bottle shape typical of the distillery. The nose is floral, with heather, poached pears and the sweetness of malted barley. On the palate come crème brûlée and ripe, sweet bananas, followed by fine wood notes and pear fruit.
