Glen Garioch – 12 Years (1L, 48%)

This is a 12 year old Glen Garioch single malt from Scotland, bottled at 48% in a 1 litre bottle. The distillery lies in the sheltered Garioch valley, between Speyside and the east coast. Morrison Bowmore owned it from 1970, and the Japanese company Suntory took it over completely in 1994. Glen Garioch has reduced the peat in its whisky in recent years and then left it out altogether. The distillery now makes several styles, among them whiskies in which citrus and vanilla notes dominate.
