Glen Garioch – 14 Year Old 2011 Cask #8029 Berry Bros. & Rudd (55.1%)

This is a single cask Glen Garioch 14 Year Old, distilled in 2011 and matured in an Oloroso sherry butt, cask 8029. Berry Bros. & Rudd bottled it for its Odyssey Range: The Auld & The Bold, at a natural strength of 55.1% ABV. The outturn was 201 bottles. Glen Garioch is a Highland distillery in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire, founded in 1797. The nose brings walnut skins, buttered raisin loaf and dark chocolate. On the palate come rich cocoa, syrup-soaked raisins and Madagascan vanilla, and the finish carries roasted nuts and bittersweet chocolate.
