Glen Garioch – 16 Year Old The Renaissance 2nd Chapter (51.4%)

This is the second chapter in Glen Garioch's Renaissance series, a 16 year old single malt built around spirit distilled soon after the distillery reopened in 1997. It was matured in a mix of sherry and ex-Bourbon casks, and bottled at a cask strength of 51.4% without chill filtration. Notes of tangy citrus fruit, toffee, milk chocolate, crème brûlée, dried apricot and toasted oak are described, in a robust and spicy Highland style.
