A single cask Glen Garioch, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2022 at 12 years old by Douglas Laing for their Old Particular range. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 48.4% ABV, without colouring or chill filtration. The whisky was matured in a refill hogshead, cask DL15592, which yielded 377 bottles. The cask has been gentle with the distillery's firm spirit, bringing out barley sugar and boiled sweet flavours, with a faint smoke on the finish. The nose is mellow, with sweetened buttercream, barley sugar and maple syrup. On the palate, cough-drop spices come ahead of clean, juicy barley, butterscotch and vanilla. The finish is smoky, with the fumes blending into the flavours before it.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
