Glen Garioch – 2010-2022 11 Year Old Murray McDavid Benchmark (70cl, 46%)

A Highland single malt from Glen Garioch, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2022 at 11 years old by Murray McDavid for their Benchmark range. It is bottled at 46% without colouring or chill filtration, and 1559 bottles were filled. The whisky began in a pair of sister casks and was then finished in first fill Tokaji wine casks. Tokaji is a Hungarian dessert wine. The nose offers orange blossom, honeyed malt and tropical fruit. On the palate there is passion fruit, floral notes and creamy vanilla, leading to an oily, delicate finish of sweet oak spice.
