Glen Garioch – 2010/2025 14 Year Old PX Sherry Cask Finish (Murray McDavid) (70cl, 51.6%)

This Glen Garioch is a 14 year old Highland single malt, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2025 by Murray McDavid as part of its Benchmark series. It was released in the independent bottler's Spring Release 2025. The whisky matured first in bourbon hogsheads, then spent three and a half years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez barriques from Ximénez-Spinola in Jerez. Three casks produced 913 bottles at 51.6%, in 70cl bottles, without chill-filtration or added colour. The nose is creamy mocha, herbs and oily malt. Stone fruit meets thick honey and fruity caramel on the palate, and the finish brings ginger, shortbread and milk chocolate.
