This is a 31 year old single malt from Glen Garioch, distilled in 1988 and bottled at cask strength by Hunter Laing for its Old & Rare series. The whisky was made before the distillery closed in 1995, at a time when peated barley was still used there. Only 223 bottles were produced. The peat has softened over the years into a gently herbal, tea-like character, with fruit and chocolate notes alongside.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
