Glen Garioch – 31 Year Old 1992/2023 Macbeth Series Act One Angus

A 31-year-old Glen Garioch single malt from the Highlands, distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2023 by Elixir Distillers. It represents the character Angus in the Macbeth Collection, and the label and mustard-yellow packaging carry sketch illustrations by Quentin Blake. It is bottled at natural colour and without chill-filtration, in an outturn of 305 bottles. The nose combines orange peel, ripe apricots and elderflower, with candied mandarins and light grapes. On the palate are juicy peaches and soft pears with a malty sweetness and a gentle spice. The finish is very long, with grapes and apple.
