This is a 33 year old Glen Garioch, bottled at 46.2% in a 50cl bottle as Batch 8 of the Cinema Labels collection from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. It is an old-school Highland whisky, from the days when the distillery malted its own barley on the floor using Highland peat. The label is inspired by the 33 year old Scotch in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, where the British and American ways of signalling the number three give away a spy ordering a whisky. The nose has overripe apples, green banana, camphor, pine and bread dough. The palate is waxy, with mulled cider, apricot compote and white pepper, leading to a long, honeyed finish with a little peppery spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
