Glen Grant 15 Years is a single malt from the Glen Grant distillery in Rothes, bottled at 50% ABV. It matured for 15 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
The profile is fruity, with a good deal of vanilla oak character. The nose offers lemon meringue, biscuits, bread dough, dry oak and brown sugar. On the palate there is more citrus alongside banana chips and dried apricots, with a restrained nuttiness and soft Christmas spice developing. The finish brings milky tea, ginger, green apple and peach.
