This is a 25-year-old Speyside single malt from Glen Grant, distilled in 1992 and bottled by Wilson & Morgan. It was matured in Oloroso sherry casks.
The malt keeps a lively, youthful character for its age, with a crisp maltiness and the faintest hint of peat. The sherry brings lithe tannins and a very dry, nutty bite.
On the palate, the fruity, delicate notes of the spirit are carried by that sherry influence, and the spirit and the oak sit in balance.
