This Glen Grant is a 63 year old Speyside single malt, filled in 1959 and matured by Gordon & MacPhail in a single first-fill sherry butt. It is the third edition in the Legacy series, created in memory of George Urquhart, known as Mr George, who began the Connoisseurs Choice range in 1968. Glen Grant was a personal favourite of his. It was bottled at natural cask strength, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is of autumnal spices and dried fruits. The palate brings red fruits and berries, Seville oranges and oaky cocoa powder, running into a finish full of cinnamon.
