Second-fill Oloroso sherry butt
This is a single cask Glen Keith from Speyside, chosen by Andrew Symington for Symington's Choice within the Cask Strength Collection from Signatory Vintage. The whisky matured for 26 years in a second-fill Oloroso sherry butt. It was distilled on 11 September 1996 and bottled on 7 July 2023 from cask number 7, giving 635 numbered bottles of 70cl. It is bottled at its natural cask strength of 58%, without chill-filtering or added colour. Raisins, figs and dates open the nose, followed by honey and soft vanilla. The palate is velvety, with gingerbread, malt bread, molasses and dried fruit, ending in a nutty bitterness. The very long finish turns drier, with walnut shells and dry sherry.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
