This is a 21 year old Glen Mhor distilled in 1976 and bottled by Hart Brothers at 43% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. Glen Mhor closed in 1983 and was demolished in 1988, with a restaurant built on the site. The whisky is a Highland malt, lightly peated, fruity and dry in the finish, and straw in colour.
The nose is very flowery, with nectar, beer, malt, dampened grains and whiffs of a fireplace, along with marzipan, fresh almonds, hazelnuts, a little olive oil and dairy cream.
The palate is bold and punchy, with a rather peaty feeling and a very herbal character.
